Things are coming together for Con-con (the Leverage con). I ordered my ticket, I've got a room in the con hotel for Friday, Saturday, Sunday. (Still not quite sure what I'm doing Thursday night yet, but I've got time to figure that out.)

eafm, kimberlyfdr, and sydni_64 - please let me know as soon as you can if you're planning on coming.

And I got my plane ticket last night. I'm a little worried about the fact that there's 35 minutes for me to make the connecting flight on the way out and I'm doing my best to concentrate on the part of my brain that's going, "If this wasn't feasible, it wouldn't have been listed as an option." And considering that Southwest has an open seating policy, if I can check-in early enough, I'll be able to get a low boarding group and have a better chance at getting an aisle seat near the front. We'll see what happens.

Still excited, though.

Yay for you! I'll bet the con is a blast. What airport is your flight connecting through? 35 min is definitely cutting it close, but if it's not a huge airport (or you get lucky with the gates) you stand a better chance. Look up the airport map ahead of time so you know where you're going. When's the con?

I'm *so* excited about it. (As if you couldn't tell all ready. :-P) I seriously think Leverage took the squee that could've transfered from SGA to SGU.

The flight's connecting through Chicago-Midway. Have you been there in any of your travels? And I did look the airport up already and it seems pretty straight forward with where the the Southwest gates are. (Nothing like Dallas-Fort Worth or wherever it was that we had to take the tram.)

I should be able to tell you within the week. I went to the site several times and could only see the Platinum price listed, which just... There's no way on earth I could have managed that much, on top of the train ticket and the hotel room.

Now that i can see the other prices, I'm sitting down with the budget and with my childcare options to see how I can make this work.

Can you drop me a note to let me know how much the hotel room is, so I can figure that into my numbers? (either in a comment or email - bluebansidhe at yahoo.com - whichever you're comfortable with)

Oh, I really, really hope I can make this work...

I'm still trying to figure everything out, but I definitely want to come! Can you send me an email with the hotel cost estimate? And I'll need a room for Thursday night, too, so do you think we can find something? (Does the con hotel not have a room open on Thursday?)
