Three entries in three days. This must be a record for me or something. :-P

My right ear's been stuffed up for most of this week and I've tried a number of different things, but none have completely fixed the problem, so I think I need to get the wax removed. Does anyone know if my regular doctor can do this, or if I'll just be told that I need to go to a nose/ear/throat doctor?

And, for those of you who have seen the Sentinel episode "Hear No Evil", my right ear unstopped itself on Monday and stayed that way until about Tuesday night or Wednesday, and I was like, "Wow, this must've been like what Jim felt, but less painful."

And, yes, I do realize that I've become a fangirl.

Yeah, and it's helped some, but the ear's still a bit stuffed up.

I just remembered that one time when I visited the campus health clinic because I was feeling miserable due to some winter bug that was going around, the nurse looked into my ears as part of the checkup. She noticed there was a wax buildup and brought out something called the Elephant Ear Washer (http://www.doctor-easy.com/id25.htm). It worked very well, and there was no need for drops like with Debrox or other home methods. So, I'd guess that if your doctor was properly equipped, there wouldn't be a reason to specifically visit an ENT specialist.

Oh, okay. I'll have to call and ask then. Thanks.
