N.J. Governor Resigns, Admits Gay Affair

Not that I'm a New Jerseyan, but I kinda feel bad for him - that he feels he has to give up the office. But at the same time, I admire him for coming out and doing what he thinks is right.

Oh, don't feel bad for him, dear. The reason he's resigning isn't because he's gay, but because there's a sexual harassment lawsuit pending against him by one of the employees in his office. I think after the whole thing with Clinton, politicians are finding that's the easiest thing to do. My mom heard the press conference live on the radio and said he really played up the gay part to try and minimize the attention on the lawsuit.

The thing that gets me is that he had his lover on the state payroll. How would you like to know your taxes went to that.

Oh, I don't feel *that* bad for him. And, as far as I know, the suit's by the guy that he was having the affair with. And I've only heard bits and pieces.
