Update? What's that?
Jul. 15th, 2004 10:43 pmI know I haven't done a real update in a while. And for the most part it's because there's nothing to really say. I've been enjoying my time off and taking as much advantage as possible of Blockbuster. (So much so that the other day one of the managers - at least I think he's a manager - said something to the effect of, "So we'll see you tomorrow.")
But at least a couple of the things I've done can be seen on the ljs of Mandie (
anaidiana) and Chrissie (
drdeath).
Got some moles taken off at the beginning of the month. So swimming was iffy for a while. (Which was a pain in the ass because then Mandie had a pool party that day and I couldn't swim. But it was fun anyway.)
Going to the beach with Chrissie, Nana, Scott, and Mandie was lots of fun. As I was putting my shoes on after I wandered off, I saw two guys meandering down the boardwalk hand-in-hand. I wish more gays and lesbians could do that without having to worry. Wandered through Atlantic Book Warehouse - which usually has hardbacks for *really* cheap, but didn't see anything I wanted. Then wandered over to Lambda Rising - which is a gay book shop, since I've heard
doveslasher and
luvxander talking about it. It was kinda neat. Ended up getting a copy of a book called Gay Warriors, because it looked really interesting.
Went to Sarah and Navil's reception and they looked very cute together and Sarah looked gorgeous in her dress.
Have become intimite with the stretch of Route 13 between my house and Smyrna, since that's where Susan and Mark, Chrissie's sister and brother-in-law, live just south of there. But it was a lot of fun getting to see them again.
Got my stitches removed this past Tuesday morning and the nurse put this adhesive stuff on the area on my foot (I guess it still hadn't closed totally) and told me that it would fall off in a day. It's Thursday night and still on. I'm beginning to wonder if it's bonded to my skin.
Wandered around the Dover Mall yesterday with Chrissie since she wanted to get something for Nadine. On the way out, we wandered through Boscov's and this sales clerk started chatting with us and just wouldn't let the fact that Chrissie had an accent go. And she actually believed that Chrissie was from Birmingham, Mississippi. *sigh* But going to Red Lobster was fun. If you didn't know - their Berry Daquaries are *huge*. As in 32 ounces huge. When our waiter brought it out, we both stared at it for a minute or two. And our waiter was a lot of fun. And kind of cute.
Mandie and I took Chrissie to the airport today. At least we didn't have to run around this time. :-P
