May. 24th, 2004 11:43 pmSo I decided to try making fudge again.
It actually worked this time and everyone agreed that it was very yummy.
So, I thought I'd share the recipe if anyone's interested.
Mocha Fudge*
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips**
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 tablespoon instant coffee
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In saucepan over low heat, melt chips and milk. Remove from heat; stir in syrup, coffee, and vanilla. Spread evenly into a foiled-lined 8- or 9-inch pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off foil, and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.***
* can be made reduced fat by using reduced fat chips and milk
** 1 12 oz bag equals 2 cups
*** may actually have to store in the refridgerator
