I thought I'd give my thoughts on this week's Angel a little time to process so this whole thing wouldn't just be one big "Squeeeeeee! New Angel!!!" But I don't think my thoughts have gotten too much clearer. :-P

Lindsey. :-D The plot with him was kinda interesting, imo. And I'll admit that I thought that he was with Darla at first (like practically everyone else). The thing with the hearts was neat. Though, the kid with the gun weirded me out. (Not as much as the kid with the Joker!smile in "Smile Time", but very close.) The "evil basement" was a bit cliched, imo, but it worked.

And along with that - Gunn. I'm sad that he stayed in the hell dimension. While I've been upset at what's been done to his character over the past couple of seasons, I've never stopped liking him. And I think that there's something really important in the fact that he looked a lot like he used to back in s2. Because I don't think that lawyer!Gunn made the decision to stay, I think *Gunn* did. I'm sure a small part of it was because of "we need someone to stay behind and I'm the most expendable", but it was also "I've done a bunch of stuff I need to atone for, so I'm going to do that." I hope they find a way to get him back.

I thought the whole Wes/Illyria thing was interesting. Liked the shrimp mentions and the fact that Wes called her a smurf. But, at the same time, we get that Wes is still broken-up over losing Fred and having to deal with an entity that looks like her, but *please* let's move on. As much as I love Alexis and his acting, can we please get away from the weekly Wes angstfest?

Angel and Spike's "meeting" was amusing. Especially Spike with the briefcase and the beer.

Have to admit that I like Hamilton. :-D It took me a minute after the teaser ended to realize that it was Adam Baldwin. I can't wait to see more of him because I'm sure that he'll be a *much* better liason that Eve. (Who should, at the very least, go away.)

I loved Lindsey's speech-thingie at the end about heroes. I don't remember it all, just that when he was done, I was like, "Dude. Right on."

Okay, so as soon as I saw Hamilton I screamed, 'Its Adam Baldwin! Yea!' Or something to that effect. I then gave my brother a rundown of all the firefly castmembers who have been on Buffy and Angel.
I'm terrified for Gunn. Lindsay said that they can only knock you down as far as you think you deserve to go. And since Gunn is so guilt-riddled at this point, it's gonna be bad.

Yeah. I've actually been pondering that "speech-thingie". It puts a new perspective on things. Its important to recognize that The Apocalypse takes a much different form than *an* apocalypse. It's gonna be interesting.

LOL. And I think you're right - it is gonna be bad for Gunn.

And you're right - The Apocalypse is definitely different from an apocaylpse. And I think it's funny that we've managed to differentiate the two. :-P
