I really enjoyed this episode. Lana aside. (Could it be? Could we actually be moving on from Clana?)
I did like what Lex said to her, though - "It's like the German poet Rilke said - a person isn't who they are during the last conversation you had with them - they're who they've been throughout your whole relationship."
And I think I love Jonathan even more now (even though I missed most of the scene between him and Lionel in the cave) in a way that I can't totally explain. I've always loved him, just because I think that (aside from some faulty logic, that somehow I understand even if I don't agree, about Clark's secret) he's a good dad and is trying his best with Clark. But he seems more human now. If his deal with Jor-El does something to him so that he either dies or isn't Jonathan anymore, I may just have to hurt somebody. (This is just speculation. And, no, I don't want to know what's gonna happen.)
Okay. Off to give my Shakespeare presentation. I will be *soo* glad when this is over.
