Have survived the first week of Winter Session classes. Love my film class. Leitch, the professor, is great. Texts and Contexts (my other class), not so much yet. Might just be because I find it hard to follow Cotsell's train of thought/lecturing.

So far in film we've watched have been It Happened One Night, Libeled Lady and Bringing Up Baby.

Somewhat amusing quote - "All the time," Alyson Hannigan responded when asked by the British media if she had been practicing fake orgasms in preparation for her role in a stage version of "When Harry Met Sally."

Got pictures from my aunt and uncle live out near Seattle, WA. They've gotten about 12 inches of snow or so recently. One picture shows my two little cousins on a plastic sled that's tied to the back of their golf cart.

Am slowly starting to fall in love with Faramir. Not sure if this is a good thing or not.

I'm not sure of all the movies, but I know a number of different things are coming up. I know we're watching Sleepless in Seattle, Groundhog Day and Kissing Jessica Stein later on in the month.

I don't know if you saw it but I posted about the books I got with the Amazon.com gift cert. I got two Terry Pratchett books, "Monstrous Regiment" and "Wee Free Men." I cannot begin to thank you enough.

I'm currently not posting much. Not doing much of anything. Fighting with a depression that started on Christmas night.

a good man of gondor is hard to find, dear :) rochie and nahnee are quite enamoured of him as well. (i've still got boromir and my dirty little secret, so i'm all set.) last week we rented one of david wenham's aussie movies called better than sex. as you can imagine, there was lots of nudity. it was quite cute. oh and on ff.net, they've got this fun series of owner's manuals for lord of the rings characters. if you're interested, you can do an author search on theresagreen (yes, all one word.) she was the originator, but several other people have written in the series as well and she's linked them to her profile page.

and those movies you've watched so far in your class? awesome :) especially bringing up baby, although i also adore it happened one night. later, darling!
