Today has been sponsored by the letters P, M, and S.

It was just an icky, self-doubting day. And it didn't help that it's my brother's birthday, which means mine's in just under a month and I'll be 30 this year and I didn't picture myself being where I am at this point and - you get the idea. *deep breath* (The family birthday dinner went great, though.)

This is also why I'm glad I have off next week. It'll give me a chance to relax and hopefully start getting things in order.

Just wanted to say that your "sponsorship letters PMS" was really funny. Why is so much, or perhaps all of comedy rooted in tragedy, or pain? Why do we laugh and cringe at the same time when a comedian tells a harsh joke?Glad the family dinner went well.

:-) I'm not completely sure why, but I'm sure at least some of it is because it helps diffuse/ease the tension that comes from pain/tragedy/etc - it helps affirm we're alive and (for the most part/for the moment) okay.
