I think I'm set for this weekend.

I went to BJ's after work for myself and my grandparents and it was crazy - as was expected. But even with having to wait a while at the deli counter and in the checkout line, things moved along well and people were nice. I was still in there about an hour and a half, though, for a trip that would normally take at most half the time.

From there, I went to a local grocery store to get milk (since I don't need a gallon of it) and peanut butter. It wasn't too bad there, but I did get there about 7:30 or so. But the bread was completely gone. The milk and peanut butter were almost gone, and there was maybe half a dozen eggs left.

That's one thing that always amuses me about a storm - people always buy milk, bread, and eggs. Personally, I don't get it, but that may be because I don't find French toast to be all that great. And, besides, if I was stocking up for a storm, I'd want ohter stuff too/instead.

I'm finishing up laundry now and will start the dishwasher before I go to bed so I won't have to worry about that this weekend.

Storm aside, this is shaping up to be a relaxing weekend.

I find that funny too. I can understand bread and peanut butter, but if the power goes out your milk is going to spoil and how are you going to cook the eggs?? I'd think canned tuna, spam, spaghettios, etc would be better choices. Stuff you can eat cold.

Winter storms are different, of course, You're preparing for not leaving the house for a while. Ah well. Hope you do have a relaxing weekend and the weather doesn't get too crazy.

Exactly! And I did get some spaghetti-os and canned tuna, and I have some snacky stuff too.

Thanks! I'm definitely planning on having a relaxing weekend. I'm just hoping to not lose power and water. (Especially the water.)
