Today was a good day.

Got out of the house a little after 6:30, and to hospital a little before 7. (It's the best place to go for a blood test, instead of LabCorp.) Couldn't find my insurance card, but had all the info written down and they took it, thankfully. The lady who drew my blood was also really good and only pricked me once. Was out of the hospital by about 7:10.

Didn't have to be into work, so I went to Panera for breakfast and read the newest part of Sentinels of Atlantis. And finished my sgareversebang fic and sent it off to gblvr.


And in really awesome news - the Presbyterian Church (USA) changed its stance on ordaining openly gay pastoral candidates.

Good news about that church. I had a friend who left the ministry because she was asked before her ordination if she ever had a Gay thought. So she left instead of answering. Ruined her life or her internilized self hatred did. I lost touch with her many years ago. She kept trying to pray or drink being a Lesbian away.

I also had a friend who left the denomination because they wouldn't ordain him. We fell out of touch, but the last I heard he was with the United Church of Christ and going to be ordained there. And he was happily in a relationship.

It's just... *shakes head*
