Oct. 7th, 2003 11:59 pmThis is just wrong on so many levels.
Must learn to not keep papers until the last minute. Just started a 4 page paper that's due Thursday about an hour ago. But it shall be finished tomorrow somehow.
And for some stuff I've heard on the radio in the past few weeks:
So about a week and a half ago on 96.5 The Point, during the morning show (although I only heard the preview clip of it), one of the personalities was spreading gossip of how one of the guys on "Queer Eye" is supposedly straight and her bet was on Thom. Except, she didn't know his name and just called him "the interior design guy".
-Um, is it just me, or if you're going to be spreading stuff like this around, wouldn't you want to make sure you have all the info - like a name??? Or do they think they're covering their behinds from possible slander charges by not saying his name and claiming innocence? And besides, considering what I've heard about the ratings, a lot of people have been watching the show, so it's not like most people don't know who you're talking about.
A few days later, I had the radio on again, and I think I was actually listening to a morning show - not sure which one, but may have been the Barsky show (on 96.5) and they were airing this phone conversation that one of the guys had had with this woman. I came into it late, so I didn't hear the set up, but basically she wanted him to come down and check out these two guys who were sitting in a car in front of her building for her since they had been sitting there for a while. And he was like "Are they naked?" "Are they holding hands?" "What are they doing?" And she kept saying "I don't know."
- Now, if I was worried about some guys in front of my place of residence, I'd be calling the cops, not the local radio station.
Saw a trailer for Return of the King this weekend and it kicked ass. I'm *so* excited for Dec 17th. And from what I've heard, RotK is going to be 3.5 hours long.

Date: 2003-10-08 08:43 am (UTC)My morning radio jocks have been talking about the Fab Five too, mostly to say they're worried - or some people are worried - that they'll burn out too fast due to overexposure. I guess next week's TV guide asks the same question. Must really check my mailbox for the new issue.
I do think it's hysterical that society has progressed to the point where someone would be accused of not being gay! LOL! And yeah, if you're going to accuse, you should at least get all your facts straight. Geesh!
Good luck with the paper. Don't forget to take an hour off tonight, oh, say, around 9pm.

Date: 2003-10-08 09:53 am (UTC)I hope the guys don't burn out. Because that would be bad in general and because I'd miss the show too much.
Well, that's definitely a plus, even if there are still some problems. Gotta look on the bright side. :0)
I'm blocking out my whole afternoon and evening because I plan to be done by 8. (Gotta get my Clex fix.)
