sam_gamgeeHad a dermatologist's appointment today (for a routine check since I have rosacea). I had a skin check done (basically you get looked over to see if any moles look weird or anything else looks weird) and ended up having two moled removed - one on my back and one on my right thigh. I watched the one on my thigh come off - it was kind of neat.
Am now reading Return of the King in anticipation of the movie. (And because I want to know what happens, dammit!) I'm only up to chapter nine (right after Aragorn does his healing thing for those of you who know the story) and I'm *really* enjoying it. I so cannot wait for the movie. The seige of Gondor seems like it's going to be really cool. Maybe not Helm's Deep cool, but still really cool. I can't wait to see a trailer.
Had a bag of popcorn char on me the other day. It was really weird - I put the bag in for 3 minutes and 50 seconds, knowing that would be long enough, but not to burn (well, maybe a teensy bit). The microwave beeped and I opened it and this white smoke starts billowing out and it smelled horrible. I don't know what went wrong, since I had done the same brand a few days before for the same amount of time and it was fine. Go figure.
I found out that I was slightly misled. The Santana/Chad Kroeger song that I like isn't actually Chad Kroeger. Yes, he wrote the song. Yes, there is a version of him singing the song with Santana. No, it's not the one on the radio. That voice actually belongs to Alex Band, lead singer of The Calling. No wonder the voice sounded so familiar, but I couldn't place it.
