Just finished watching Triassic Attack - this week's edition of Syfy's "Horribly Bad D-List Monster Movies". Usually I stay away. Far away. But Colin Ferguson (from "Eureka") directed it, and it's got dinosaurs, so I figured I'd give it a shot. And I actually made it the whole way through, though it was touch and go at a couple points. :-P

I have this weird fondness for these horrific syfy movies. There was this truly awful one with Adrian Paul (from Highlander) about Roanoke. I watched the whole thing because he was in it, but was in awe at how completely terrible it was.

Can't wait to watch Hewlett's contribution!

Usually, I have standards (however low they may be - I do love Van Helsing), but most of Syfy's movies are too low even for that. But it was fun to watch this one and yell at the tv. And once I found out the lead is Scottish, it was fun listening to his accents going in and out. :-P

Yes! I can't wait for Hewlett's contribution either! Especially since he's been calling it the "evil snow monkey" movie, and it has neither snow or monkeys. :-D

I was in bed sick all weekend so I missed this one. Darn it. I saw a clip earlier and it looked like cheese-tastic fun.

I am addicted to these movies.

The acting and writing are generally abysmal and the production values worse. And I love 'em. I am sick. *grin*

It really, honestly was. And usually I give these movies a pass because I do have standards (however low they may be - I do love Van Helsing), but most of Syfy's movies are too low even for that. But it was fun to watch this one and yell at the tv. And once I found out the lead is Scottish, it was fun listening to his accents going in and out. :-P

Standards? Standards?

When it comes to creature features, I have no standards!

When it comes to purple underwear, I definitely have standards. *snorts*

LOL.

And now I'm curious about the purple underwear.

It's a famous (in the Alexander SkarsgÄrd fandom) photo. I made it into this userpic. It's actually part two of a two-part photo. Both were taken at the same party. In the first one, he's still got his pants on. In the second one, he has, for reasons known only to a drunk guy, taken off his pants and is walking around in his purple underpants.

I gotta say, I love the picture.

LOL. I was wondering what the story was behind that picture. And many things can only be explained by "...for reasons known only to a drunk person." :-P

And it makes me think of the picture that made the rounds a while back of Kiefer Sutherland with his pants down. :-P

*sigh*

I do love my ASkars. But the boy has a tendency to love his beer more than life its very self. And when he indulges, the results can be . . . predictable.

Hence, the infamous pants on/pants off pictures.

LOL. I think we can all think of at least one actor in each of our shows that likes to party a bit too hard. :-P

And it's interesting that when I first came across it during cons, I was like, "whoa!" 8-O But now, it's like, "Oh, that? That's *normal*. Have you heard about..." :-P

As long as they aren't mean drunks, I can deal with 'em.

Mean drunks get struck off my list real quickly.

Because, y'know, life is too short to deal with that crap. *nods*

Even at a distance.

Yeah, I know what you mean - and I agree. Thankfully, I've been really lucky with those I've come in contact with in our fandoms. :-D

And I'm amused by Alexander's blue wife-beater/tank top. And, out of curiosity - what did his pants look like? :-P

Ah, our Alexander has NO fashion sense. This is why we love him. Well, one of the reasons. LOL

The pants in the pants/no pants picture were plain old blue jeans. He wears a lot of plain old blue jeans. Often the same ones. And I means seriously the same ones because we start to recognise the stains on them. And the ragged bits from, literally, years ago. The same frakkin' jeans. The man has money and, trust me, NONE of it is spent on his clothes.

If you like, I could send you the pants/no pants picture. I looked around online for it and it seems to be hiding again. But, of course, I have it.

LOL. I can think of a few guys that would fit that too. I think David Hewlett (Rodney in SGA), has even mentioned a few times at cons that Jane, his wife, picked out his clothes for him. And Joe Flanigan (John in SGA) has a shirt or two that he keeps wearing to cons and we've all started laughing over whenever we see it/them in pictures.

I'd be surprised if you didn't have the picture. ;-) I've been having fun looking at the icon. :-P

Some of the best and most fun guys have no fashion sense at all.

I'm kinda fond of this little icon myself.

LOL. I think that's part of the reason why we love them.

And I can see why you would be. :-P
