Going without caffeine is a Pain In The Ass. And I haven't even gotten to the withdrawl headaches yet. (Which, thankfully, aren't that bad - just a pain in the ass.)

But I haven't been sleeping enough lately, so I know I need to do this. And probably after next week, I'll be able to start having caffeine again, but in more manageable doses. (Not that I had a lot before, but having Earl Gray tea about an hour before bed is probably not a good idea.)

My mom and I are now halfway through the first season of "True Blood". And I'm not sure what to think of it. There are moments when I think it's cool and others when I'm like, "Okay, eww, no." I'm definitely not a fan of the gratuitous sex, nudity, and violence. (And it's probably saying something if I'm preferring OZ over "True Blood".) I'm going to give it until the end of the season, then we'll see.

There's a lot of blood in TB. And a lot of sex.

It kinda comes with the whole vampires thing. Season 2 has some creepier stuff and Season 3 has both bloodier and sexier stuff.

I'm re-watching S1 now. I'm about 2/3 of the way through. I still hate Bill. *grin*

Oddly enough, I'm okay with the blood. And the sex, to an extent - though, I think at this point I'm just overloaded and doing the "Is this *REALLY* necessary? We all know Jason only thinks with his dick, we don't need to be reminded every other scene."

I'm going to try to finish the first season, but at this point, it's wearing really thin really fast. Which is kind of sad, since I know so many people love it, which would lead me to believe that it's really awesome.

There really is more to Jason. They just show this, er, side first. The second and third season Jason spends much less time naked.

But then different shows for different folks. I have friends who adore Glee and who loved Heroes and I couldn't watch five minutes of either.

I know what you mean. Like, I have a lot of friends who are into Supernatural and I couldn't. I did love Heroes. And you'd think Glee would be right up my alley, but it doesn't really do anything for me. (Even though I've seen all of the first season and I'm going to try to watch the second - I've had enough people tell me that I should watch it that I'm treating it like Stargate: Atlantis, which took me into the second season to really like, though I did like it more by the end of the first season than I do Glee. And I think Glee's cute, but it doesn't really do much for me.)

You mean you could resist those Winchester boys? *grin*

Actually, I did, too. For, like, three years. Then my friend Rat (who used to be Ripe Wicked Plum on Spike Girls) started persuading me to watch. When Rat sent me the DVD of S1 as a gift, well, I had to watch because you don't want to waste a gift, right? I got about three eps in before I hit Amazon. Now I'm a happy addict. It's pathetic. *smirk*

I've never been one of those people (well, not since about 1958 which is
just like prehistory to so many of my friends *snickers*) who can't deal with it when a friend doesn't like a show/band/singer/movie/whatever I do.

LOL. Yes, yes I can. I did watch the pilot at one point (probably either when it was first on or that summer) and went "Eh, it's cool, but I don't really care." Then last season, I happened to catch part of an episode while at a friend's house and the fact that Sam, Dean, and Castiel were all using that deep, gruff, hero voice made me giggle hysterically.

And who/what were you so into in 1958? :-P And I agree, I'm not one of those people either. It just makes me try harder. :-P And has helped me to do it in a rational way.

In 1958, I was already into Elvis Presley, who smote my girlish heart with shivers I didn't even understand 'cause I was only 8 years old (in '56) when he hit the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time.

And in 1959, I took up with Michael Landon. And, being a faithful old dog even from my girlhood, I stuck with him till he died.

Ah, but I do love me some Winchester boys. (Probably not as much as I love that Viking vampire, though. I mean, I'm learning frakkin' Swedish for cryin' out loud.

God natt, älskling. "Good night, sweetheart." hehehehehehe *snort*
