We went into D.C. today.

We hit the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum first and grabbed some lunch in the cafe, then met my dad and C, his girlfriend. My dad bought us all tickets to Wild Ocean - one of the 3D IMAX movies. From there, we went through the new Hall of Oceans - which was cool.

Then luvxander, eternalmusings, and I went over to the American History Museum, since we wanted to look over there and my dad and C said they'd meet up with us. Not too long after, my dad called us and said they'd just meet up with me when I got home, since they wanted to go to the Federal Archives.

From there, we went back to eternalmusings' house. I think it's the shortest amount of time I've ever been in D.C. (about four hours). :-P Also, the "Metro" in "Covert Affairs" was *so* not the D.C. Metro - though I could've told you that before.

This evening we just hung out, watched some tv and had leftovers for dinner. And I signed up for another big bang. On the plus side, it'll help me finish a fic I've been trying to finish for a while.

I haven't been to the Smithsonian since the day I met y'all and we went there. And the way things are going, I might never get back. How's that for the famous Kick In The Head. *whine*

I hope you'll get to come back. It was cool. (And I want to see you again! Though, I'm not adverse to travelling to you.)

And we did have a good time. :-D And with all the families on vacation and summer camps there, it was definitely emphasized how much I'm not a tourist when it comes to DC. :-P
