Jul. 31st, 2003 11:59 pmTonight's show went well. Was a bit late on three things, but that's something easily remedied. (And at least none of them were the same cues as last night.) Was getting more comfortable with the show (goood thing) when David decided to change some levels for the fight scene (bad thing). Well, it's not terrible, it's just going to make something that's already very tense for me even tenser (more tense?). But at least I wasn't a nervous wreck at the beginning of the show tonight.
But it seems like my mom and John are coming to see the show Sunday afternoon. *Looks around for the devil ice skating* (No wonder it's been rather cool around here lately.) For those of you scratching your heads - my mom's willing to make a 2.5 hour *one way* trip to see *Shakespeare*. It's a miracle! (She usually gives up as quickly as possible.)
And someone has waaay too much time on their hands. (Regina - makes me think of Shannon)

Date: 2003-08-01 06:54 am (UTC)Heehee. Beautiful sarcasm. Had to comment.
Good luck with the show.Break a leg! I still have fond memories of running the old kind of lighting board, with slider levels that you had to twist your fingers in a knot to manipulate when the lighting designer got carried away. I used to make myself little blocks of wood to use to... and never mind. You all have computers now don't you? Or do you?Anyway, will try to remember to respond to your last email tonight when I get home. I did get it. *g*

Date: 2003-08-01 08:33 am (UTC)Yes, we do have computers. :0P But we don't have SFX - which is the computer program that does all that sort of thing. So that means that I'm sitting at the board with two minidisk players, a cd player, and a pile of paperwork so that I can set everything up. Like Al, the lightboard op said - it's kinda like running a two preset lightboard. Usually if I can make it through the first act, I'm fine.
Okay on the email.
And I love your icon. Where'd you get it?
