Tried out a recipe from the crockpot cookbook I got for Christmas. I forgot the celery, but it still tasted really good. My dad even liked it, and I didn't have to resort to a wet towel snapped across his knees to get him out of the kitchen. It's definitely going in the "Will make again" pile. Will post the recipe later.

Greatest invention *ever* for working women. I bought one years and years ago when they first came out. I used 'em when they were popular and when they weren't. I have gone through four of them over the years. I don't know how we'd ever get a Sunday dinner without one. 'Cause, honey, I am SO NOT gonna get up at dawn and start cooking and then leave it all in the oven set on warm so it will be warm when we get home. No way no how.

LOL. Yeah, I'm excited about having the cookbook, since we'd make pot roast in it maybe twice a year and, aside from last night, I think we've made something else in it twice at most. I think this is going to be a very good thing.
