sam_gamgeeWell, John was fantastic tonight. I went over at 6, and he worked on my laptop until about 10. The worm/virus/thing had really gotten into my laptop and had disabled basically everything that would have allowed him to fix it. So we had to reboot the whole thing and since I couldn't find the start-up cd that I was sure I had, I grabbed my dad's - which is for the XP home edition, not the XP media edition that was originally on my laptop.
So, now I'm basically back in business aside from getting some drivers and reconfiguring some settings, things like that. But even so, it doesn't feel like this is my laptop, it's like it's a different laptop and it's going to take some getting used to again.
*sigh*
Otherwise, I had a really good day.
