I've done three scans of my laptop in the past 24 hours, and it keeps finding stuff! The past two times, McAfee's found one item that it couldn't take care of. I'll have to ask John about it and see what he can do, because this is both worrisome, and annoying as hell. I want to go where I click, not redirected somewhere else!

In better news, I've finished my SGA Big Bang outline, so now I can start writing like crazy to make sure I'm on top of that word count. But I don't think I'll have too much of a problem with that.

Also? I'm trying to work on a Due South idea that I got while watching the season 3 premiere. We'll see how that goes.

It's been a while, but that same thing happened to me once. There was a program I had to delete to stop it from happening. Is it diverting to yahoo or something else? (Too lazy to go back and reread your other comment.)

I suggest downloading the program malwarebytes. My tech guy said he downloads it on all his customers' computers. And run it in safe mode, as it will catch stuff that 'hides'. He also said spyware likes to hide in your system restore, so if you turn that off, then run the scan, it has nowhere to hide. Hope that helps.

Edited to add: there is a lot of talk of a google re-direct virus, so that seems likely. They do mention malwarebytes a lot, so maybe that will take care of it for you.

It's diverting to something else. And it's the google re-direct virus. And I'll download that when I get home and hopefully that'll help. *crosses fingers* I'm getting tired of having things crop up every few months.

Well, I'm thinking of some sort of investigating a planet and something happens adventure, but don't have a concrete idea. Feel free to throw any extra plot bunnies my way!

Sure, I'd love to join it if you guys still have space. All of my bunnies have to do with getting Atlantis back to Pegasus. :-P
