Things floating around in my head

1. I'm still giggling over the Christmas gift I received from mashfanficchick. That was one great weekend, wasn't it? ;-D

2. I realized last night that I will not be able to go to soft_princess and mireille719's wedding because of work. :-(

3. I'm still debating about going to WriterCon. Anyone care try to convince me?

4. 213 Things Mary Sue is no Longer Allowed to do in Fanfic. Enough said.

5. Well, it seems like my laptop has fixed itself. *crosses fingers* I'm still doing random scans and backing things up regularly, just in case, though.

6. I love "Leverage" *so* much. And seeing Danny Strong and Sam Anderson was lots of fun this week. (And the fight with Danny was hilarious for me, considering Danny's a bit shorter than I am.)

7. And on "Kyle XY" - while I think Jessie's great in theory, I'm not feeling the love for her right now. And I'm amused at my reaction to the whole Mark/Lori idea, considering he's in college and she's (I believe a senior) in high school and I'm doing the whole "eeeewwww! Jail bait!" Meanwhile - when I watched "Buffy", I happily shipped Buffy/Giles while she was still a student at Sunnydale. Go figure.

8. Between reading Ekaterina Gordeeva's memoir, My Sergei (yes, I'm *finally* going through all the books I've been stockpiling), and catching up on icarusancalion's Out Of Bounds, I've started feeling nostalgic for when I used to watch figure skating. (Which was back in the early/mid '90s - so, the whole "class" of skaters that included Gordeeva/Grinkov, Viktor Petrenko, Kurt Browning, Scott Hamilton, Paul Wylie, Nancy Kerrigan, Oksana Baiul, Katerina Witt, etc. *sigh*)

Oh my gosh, I've read that! It made me cry buckets and buckets. And then I searched the internet for weeks, looking for old skating routines by all those guys you mentioned.

They were my favorite of the pairs skaters. I remember hearing when he died and being really upset about it. Oh, I totally lived all that. I went to Stars on Ice for a number of years, and a few other shows. :-D Paul Wylie was always my favorite. There are definitely memories there.
