sam_gamgeeYou know, I used to have a lot of respect for Time Magazine. Now, I'm not so sure. In the current issue (with the Obama picture on the cover where his face is half-white and half-normal), the main headline reads, "Why the Economy is Trumping Race".
Granted, I haven't read the article and there might actually be a very plausible and well-thought arguement behind that statement, it seems like we should be worrying more about the fact that Obama's black instead of the economy. My gut response whenever I look at it is, "Because it damn well should!"
