Sep. 28th, 2008 11:56 pmToday we had a get-together for my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary (which is on 10/2). (Yes, 60th.) We had a bunch of family and friends there and it was a really good time.
The guest list included (aside from myself and my grandparents):
My dad and Cheryl
Tony and Ro (our next door neighbors)
Uncle Bruce and Aunt Margaret (my mom's oldest brother and his wife)
Uncle Bernard and Aunt Delores (my grandmother's youngest older brother and his wife)
Ruth and Beth (their twin girls)
Bob and Karen (my dad's cousin/my granddad's nephew, and his wife)
Andy and Danielle (their kids) and Andy's girlfriend Kim
Sandy and Ted (one of Bob's older sisters and her husband)
and Chase came in and out a few times.
And, as per usual, my dad was trying to micromanage again this morning:
Dad - "Are you going to sit with me in church?" (This is actually a normal question.)
Me - "Yes, but I'm going to drive separate, since I'm going to meet
e_dog for brunch after church." (at 10)
Dad - "Well, make sure you're back in time to be at the Deer Park at 2:30."
Me - "Okay." Thinking - "How long does he think we're planning on spending at brunch?"
Okay, granted, I got home at 1:30, but that included me roping her into helping me pick out an anniversary card and then me dropping her off at the library, but still....
