We closed the pool up today. We = my dad, grandparents, brother, his girlfriend, myself, and our next door neighbors (we only have one set). Afterwards, we had a picnic, which my dad's girlfriend came for.

As we were finishing up, the conversation turned to Biden sticking his foot in his mouth (again). And I said something to the effect of, "Granted, he says stupid stuff from time to time, but he's better than Palin." You would've thought I said fuck in front of a bunch of nuns and added a few 'yo mamma...'s for good measure, between the noise my grandfather and the neighbors were making. But I stuck in there, while my dad (who was at the opposite end of the table from me) was making 'cut it out' faces. My grammy finally called a stop to it and I walked away.

Later on, my dad made a comment of, "I got to give you credit for sticking in there."

OMG! This had me laughing so hard! Good for you for sticking to your guns. You know Biden better than I do. What stupid stuff has he said?

I honestly don't know what stuff he's said, since I tend to just skim for the important bits, but he has a history of sticking his foot in his mouth from time to time.

And speaking of nuns and laughter - I had a customer named Quinn McAllister come in and I couldn't help thinking, "You're Irish, aren't you?" Which randomly made me think about this comment, you laughing, and nuns, and made me think of Joe Flanigan talking at CreationCon two years ago about naming his son Fergus and that had me giggling all over again.

I can't believe Fergus is going to be 2 soon and Baz is going to be 1 soon.

Time flies so fast. It's been almost a year since I saw Joe in NZ, and Fergus wasn't walking yet. Bet he's running after his brothers by now. *g*
