- I saw a car with a bumper sticker that said, "If you save a baby from abortion and he turns out to be GAY, will you still defend his rights?"

- Almond M&Ms are sweeter than I expected, but still good.

- My dad seems to be amazed that 12 minutes is too long to steam broccoli and squash. (The broccoli's still edible, just rather soft. The squash, in my opinion, is too mushy.)

- For some reason, I'm deeply affected by the death of Eight Belles. I don't know why, since I don't follow horse racing and haven't ridden since before I started college. But every time I hear about the horse or see a picture, my first response is "No! Divert attention! Divert attention!" Go figure.

- While LOLCats are amusing, I'm enjoying LOLDogs more.

4. Hee! 12 minutes! I tend to overcook vegetables, but don't think even I would go that far. (Although, they tend to turn into mush when I stir fry for some reason.)
5. When they had to put that other horse down, a year or two ago, one of my coworkers who is extremely sensitive and an animal lover, literally was sobbing all day at work over it. Since I only get my news from the Daily Show (*g*) I haven't seen any footage on it.
6. Why is it 330 in the morning and I can't sleep? *sob*

4. I've never steamed vegetables before, so it wasn't like I actually knew. Plus, my dad usually does know how to cook things, so... (Though, I guess I should be cautious because one time I was looking at an opened jar of mayonaise that was a bit past its expiration date and I was like, "Dad, how long is mayo good for after the expiration date?" And my dad replied, "It'll last forever - it's got vinegar in it." Umm...if that was the case, I doubt there would be an expiration date on it.)
5. I was fine when Barbaro had to be put down, so who knows why I'm this way with this one - and I hadn't even heard of it prior to the race. And I haven't seen anything on the tv about it - it's all been print stuff from the newspaper.
6. I can't help you there. Sorry.
