Apr. 24th, 2008 11:12 pmMy computer's advocating bad grammar! I was rereading the sentence "You're a very good man and I realize how lucky I am that we were a match" and "am" has a green squiggly line under it for a grammar problem, so I clicked on it to see the suggestion and the suggestion is to change it to "is". I'm sorry, but I don't see how "You're a very good man and I realize how lucky I is that we were a match" is a better option.
I'm definitely going to see about getting Monday off after
tribalforces next year. I think I've been feeling so off all week because between work being crazy with getting ready for inventory and having tours coming through and then TF, I haven't had the downtime I need. (I totally don't regret the latter reason, though.) I'm not quite sure what it's called, but I think I have some sort of empathetic ability or clairsentience, because if I'm around other people for too long, I feel drained and like I've lost some of my personal boundaries. Maybe I'll escape tomorrow after work and go to Panera for dinner or something - that'll help me recharge.
Speaking of work, though, "Entertainment Weekly"'s Summer Movie Preview issue is out now and I'm excited about some of the movies coming out. (Namely Wall-E, Get Smart, and The Dark Knight.)
I have to say, if
drdeath and i really did this, a) I doubt we'd go to a 5 star restaurant (though, never say never) and b) with the two of us, I'm not sure the percentage is right. ;-D

Date: 2008-04-25 09:54 pm (UTC)Reason # 9,874 that I prefer Rough Draft to Microsoft Word (and I totally typed Mockrosoft the first time -- ah, the Freudian slip!): When I paste your sentence into RD, no problem. When I paste it into Word, Word wants to make "am" "is." Doooood, "I is" is wacky grammar in the real world, no matter what it is in Micro-language! LOL
