Mar. 15th, 2008 09:10 pmSo, after some stops and starts, I got to see "Ark of Truth".
Yeah, so watching the prelude was a good idea to getting re-familiarized with everthing that's been going on.
I thought we had already established that the Ancients were really thousands of years ago, not millions?
Hi, SG-1!
Oh, Dakara!
I love that Sam's hair has decided to follow Teal'c's hair and suddenly grow without any explanation.
Hi, Tomin! (I like Tomin.)
Is it just me, or does anyone else not trust Marrick? (And it's Currie Graham, who played Mark Warner on "House".)
And I miss Woolsey already.
Heh. I love the set-up for the questioning scene.
"Do I have to sit in the chair?"
"Can I confine him to his quarters?" That would be my first order of business, Mitchell.
Hi, Major Marks! I love that he's on both the Odyssey and the Daedalus.
Okay, this is scary, I'm beginning to say Teal'c's lines before he does.
I love Teal'c's "talk" with Tomin.
You know, while the SuperGate isn't a good thing, its kawoosh is pretty cool. And seeing the Odyssey go through it's neat.
Look! Daniel and Vala in local clothing.
Hey, it's Chris Gauthier from "Eureka".
How did I know Marrick was up to no good?
I love that Daniel's got a shovel.
Major Reynolds!
Replicator? Yeah, that's not good.
Teal'c!
Yay, brig!
I love that Major Marks has such a large part in this.
Okay, Landry may have just gotten a coolness point or two, but he's still got a ways to go. I'd like to see what Hammond would do in this situation.
What's up with the downlight, lighting guys? It's weird if the prior isn't directly in it and Landry keeps walking through it.
Maybe it needs to be in the presence of believers to work.
I love Mitchell's grandmother.
Yeah, not surprised Marrick's quivering in fear at the first scary sound.
Oh, that's a scary shot - of the door with him screaming behind it.
Yay, Teal'c! Okay, still not in great shape, but that's better than dead.
Yeah, I'm tired of "shoot the warrior, take the scholar". Though, Teal'c was just a general casualty, though.
"Oh, god."
"Your gods cannot help you now, Daniel Jackson."
"Mmrph. It's just a statement of general dissatisfaction."
Look, Teal'c's recreating Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.
"And I shall call this land 'Teal'c Land'".
*whimpers at Tomin, Vala, and Daniel being tortured*
Damn, the Replicator Queen's huge.
I'm glad you have a back-up plan in place, Mitchell.
I like the partial zombie look.
Ooh, Marks is smart too. (But I guess that should be a given.)
Eeew. Looks like the Replicators are adapting in new ways to "taking" a human form.
So nice of you to clean up the Ark, Priors.
Hi, Adria!
Oh, Teal'c!
Mitchell - he/it's probably going to win.
I like the slight robotic sound as Replicator!Marrick moves.
Wow. An Ascended being just healed Tea'c. I wonder if it was Oma.
Gratuitious crotch shot!
And now Teal'c can continue being purposeful.
Vala, that's the wrong question to ask a power-hungry being.
*grudgingly* Hi, Ellis.
I love that he has a name identifier at the bottom of the screen.
"And I was just thinking we couldn't get any more screwed." Yep, I'd say that that's a correct statement, Sam.
Last moment of lucidity to impart important knowledge.
Don't give up, Daniel.
She sounds and looks like the Hollywood ladies of old.
I love Daniel finally having a melt-down at the Ascended Ancients.
Teal'c!
Mitchell! No!
Damn, that was close.
I think Vala does care in some way for Tomin.
Ooh, Daniel without his glasses.
Oh, that's cool - a Replicator skeleton. I didn't think there'd be enough iron in the body to do that, though.
*whines* That shot of a bloodied Mitchell in the chair asking for surrender is very sad.
Daniel's thinking of something.
Talk about a last minute save.
Wow, Morgan. You came back.
Catfight!
"Ow." Somehow the way he said it made me laugh.
Somehow, the Doci weeping is quite effective.
Teal'c giving the Prior his staff amuses me.
I like Sam sitting on the edge of Mitchell's bed.
Sam in civvies is weird. Especially since she looks like a girl.
They're macaroons, aren't they? Nice continuitiy.
The kiss on the cheek was weird.
I like the idea of Vala and Tomin, even if they're not going to get together.
Yeah, Area 51 isn't necessarily the safest place for it.
Okay, that was good.
Now watching the special features:
"Superobjective", Chris?
I love that Ben's in costume but Amanda, Chris, and Michael aren't. (Though, I'm sure that's due to when they could grab them.)
Thank you for Tomin, Robert Cooper.
"Tomin is the modern day Teal'c"? Teal'c ain't that old, Cooper.
I love that Cooper's wearing a Stargate t-shirt.
Hi, Dan Shea!
Yeah, stuntpeople are insane.
Hi, Bam Bam!
I love watching Browder and Graham block the fight.
Yay! I love the sound people and totally agree with them - and with Cooper's comments about the music.
Chris is so cute.
"It's like going off to college and getting to come home and see your family."
"Actually, I just noticed a tree that moved more than I did in ten years."
