Feb. 6th, 2008 04:41 pmI'm at the library right now, but I'm hoping to be online again tonight. (*crosses fingers*)
1. A Verizon service rep called last night in response to the call my dad had placed and I told him our router was dead. And he went through the standard questions of "Are all the cables plugged in?" ("Yes.") "Is the adapter working?" ("I assume so - the green light on it's on.") before making his pronouncement of "Yep, it's dead." And he then told me they were going to over-night us a new one and for us to send the old one back. So we should have that today and will hopefully have it up and running tonight.
2. I actually went in for my "interview" today instead of Friday, but it was partially aborted. I filled out some paperwork and took the teller test. Then found I failed the teller test (a few of the wrong answers were a result of other wrong answers, so I honestly didn't do too terribly), but I have to go back in a month to retake it.
3. I just happened to look over to the window and there's a sculpter on the table in front of it that looks like a lobster claw. I don't think that's what it's supposed to be, but it's a really nice sculpture.
4. Last night's "House" was priceless. I absolutely loved it.
5. I think there was supposed to be a #5, but now I can't remember. :-(

Date: 2008-02-09 05:48 am (UTC)Teller work IS a challenge. That's part of what makes it interesting. If the bank where you'll be working (and I have ZERO doubt that if you want to do well on the test and get this job, you will do it!) is anything like the ones where I've worked, each day will be different. It's all like a little puzzle. All the credits end up "here" and all the debits end up "there" and if you do it all perfectly, you get a perfect balance!
I really did enjoy teller work.
