I'm so excited. I have one more scene for my "Buffy"/"Angel" crossover, and then I should be done. But my Muse seems to have different plans for it than I do, so we'll see how it goes. So it seems like I actually will be able to finish it before I leave for Florida.
And then my glasses broke last night. After I got my shower, I was putting my glasses back on and the right lens popped out. I wasn't too worried about it, because that's happened before and I can usually just pop it back in and I figured I could have my dad tighten my frames before I left for Florida so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Well, as I was trying to put the lens back in - which was proving trickier than before - I hear this "crick" and the frame broke. Grr argh. Luckily, I was getting ready to go to bed and didn't have anything pressing that I needed to do that would actually require eyesight. So this morning I went home and picked up a pair of prescription sunglasses that I have that are an older prescription than the ones that broke, but they aren't too far off, so I can still see. Then I went to the eye glass place to see about getting new frames or something and they will probably be ready in a day or so - which means Friday. Which means I'll be going to Florida wearing my sunglasses since I have to leave at the crack of dawn that day. Grr argh again.
Well, at least I can see pretty well and my glasses will be ready for when I go to Baltimore next weekend.
I loved "Lies Our Parents Told Us"! (Buffy ep last night) I loved William. I loved Spike. I loved Giles' complaining about the new library. I loved Giles, Buffy, and Wood's conversation about Spike's soul, chip and trigger. (Which goes to show that the Jossverse does have a language all its own, it just sounds like English.) I loved Andrew's line - "Willow - there's a call for you from L.A. Someone named Fred. He sounds kind of effeminate." Loved how they cut between Spike and his mom and Spike and Wood.
