Dec. 13th, 2007 11:27 pmAnd now for something a little more light....
So, some pictures for The Dark Knight have been released. One of which is the Joker. When I first heard that Heath Ledger was going to play him, I'll admit I laughed. (Don't get me wrong - I love Heath Ledger, I just couldn't see him as the Joker.) But then I saw the picture and my response was "Oh, *yes*!"
For those of you in SGA who've seen the photos of Jason floating around - oddly enough, I think I miss the beard more than the dreads. Time will tell.
In other movie news, Paul McGillion got a role in the new Star Trek movie. Yay for Paul! And, much like Joss, JJ Abrams reuses actors. So this could be very good for Paul. (Like I told Paul at the con - not getting Scotty just meant that something bigger and better was coming his way and hopefully this is the start of it.)
And for those of you who remember Jay Acovone's story about the face cream at the airport, I give you this story (which was in today's paper):

BERLIN - A man nearly died from alcohol poisoning after quaffing two pints of vodka at an airport security check instead of handing it over to comply with new rules about carrying liquids aboard a plane, police said Wendesday. The incident occured Tuesday at the Nurembueg airport, where the 64-year-old was switching planes on his way home to Dresden from a vacation in Egypt. He was told at a security check he would have to either throw out the bottle of vodka or pay a fee to have his carry-on bag checked. Instead, he chugge the vodka - and was quickly unable to stand or otherwise funcion, police said. A doctor called to the scene determined he had pssibly life-threatening alcohol poisoning, and he was sent to a Nuremberg clinic for treatment.

Date: 2007-12-14 04:40 am (UTC)I am totally right there with you. However, he's gonna grow the beard back for S5 (he's got to for continuity) so hopefully he won't shave it again. I can deal with the lack of dreads, but with the beard gone he's way too close to his Baywatch look and I can't handle that.
