Delaware just beat Southern Illinois 20-17.

This means we go to the Championships next weekend in Chattanooga, TN, against Appalachian State.

This should be an interesting game, spikesleman!

I just found this out!

*grin* Just wait till y'all meet Armanti Edwards, App's QB. I told Jeremy last night that the reason they have such a huge offense is that they have a running back playing as quarterback! (If that comment doesn't make sense, wait till next week!)

Well, we've got Omar Cuff - one of our running backs - who's had an amazing season so far this year.

Oh, I'm sure it will be!

(And I've turned into a bit of a football junkie these last few weeks. It's kind of scary.)

I admit it: to get "off" football, it'd take twelve 12-step programmes!

If you've got a strong offense, you've got a good chance to hurt App. Their defense is all right but not overwhelming. On the other hand, their QB? Astounding.

I suspect it's mostly the excitement of being in the playoffs. Once this next game's over I'm sure I'll revert back to my hockey-loving self. :-P

I think we do have a strong offense. Hopefully we'll actually use it. We do have a really good defense, so hopefully everyone will bring their all.

Heh. And maybe the fact that Delaware (http://www.udel.edu/sportsinfo/football/fb07-scrimmagepreview1.html) and Michigan (http://cache.viewimages.com/xc/76799341.jpg?v=1&c=ViewImages&k=2&d=17A4AD9FDB9CF1935D3080936F032C37CC703CCF025537FC284831B75F48EF45?) have very similar uniforms will surprise App enough for us to get a good lead. :-P

Well, there's no rule that says you have to like ONLY football OR hockey. I mean, lots of folks seem to be able to like 'em both! *grin*

Heheheh Re: Uniforms -- y'all better hope that the similarity surprises App instead of givin' 'em deja vu in that "We beat Mighty Michigan and we can beat these Blue Hens, too!" way.

Oh, I know. Some people switch sport with the seasons. But I prefer hockey over football anyway.

And I do hope there's surprise. And we're hoping they underestimate us that way.
