Things have been good, if somewhat busy around here lately. The normal Christmas preparations are going on - we got our tree last weekend and my family's asking what I want for Christmas and I'm telling them I'll get back to them.

Work's been crazy with the end of the semester and buying back books and getting ready for winter commencement. So, I've been somewhat anxious due to various things at work and doing my best to not let it overwhelm me. But I'm going to be getting a few extra hours, so that's good.

And it's been *freezing* at work since Friday and they finally got the heat working today. You know it's got to be cold if I'm complaining about it, because even if I don't put out a lot of heat, I'm almost alway warm (as [livejournal.com profile] libralyte and [livejournal.com profile] monet1873 can tell you).

The snow yesterday probably didn't help in the temperature department, I'm sure. But it was nice to see snow that actually happened as forecasted and actually stuck, so it's been really nice and pretty to look at.

Went to my friend Jean's tonight for an informal Partylite party and got to see her and Melissa - both of whom I haven't seen in quite a while. (And, yes, I did buy some candles, but only a holiday sampler of one votive each of the different scents and a pine scented jar, since my dad likes those.)

I'm sure there's more that I wanted to add, but I'm not remembering it. I think it's because I'm exhausted. On the upside, I've been doing *really good* so far this week with making myself go to bed earlier and getting the minimum of what I actually need instead of, well, the minimum. So, my body's, obviously, taking some time to adjust, but it'll work out, I know.
