You know what's weird? Going to open your truck door to get out and realize that you can actually use the inside handle. It's going to take a while to break myself of the habit of rolling down my window (and, yes, I mean *rolling* *down* *my* *window* - I have a '95 Chevy pick-up) to open it from the outside.

The back story - the handle on my door stopped working over a year ago and my dad figured the rod in the door connecting the handle to the latch had just been stretched too far. It's supposedly a simple thing to fix, it's just a bit of a pain to take the panel off the door in order to replace the part. (Though, this time, it had something to do with the handle itself, so it took a little longer because he had to get a replacement part.)

Well, my dad *finally* replaced it last night. (Whoo!) Though, why he let it go so long, I have no idea. I know he hardly drives the truck any more, but between me telling him a few times and the fact that he has used it a few times, you'd think he's remember. Especially since my dad's Mr. Safety when it comes to driving. When I mentioned it to him a few weeks ago, my dad said he'd do it and, after having waited for about 11 months already, I played the "Could you please do it, because I think it's a safety hazard?" card and my dad looked at me and laughed. And I was like, "What if I have to get out quickly? My two options are either rolling down the window or sliding across the [bench] seat - and good luck if I have stuff on the seat." Good thing Cheryl was there, since she agreed with me.
