Today was just one of those days. *sighs*

But a really good workout at Curves and watching Rush Hour 3 helped immensely. And I *heart* Jackie Chan.

And now for an amusing story:

When I was little, probably about 3 - maybe 4, I had a fish tank in my room. One night, my mom came in to check on me and found me asleep with my arm wet, but everything else was dry. She wondered how I could've wet my bed and only got my arm wet, so she got my dad and he couldn't figure out what had happened either. So, they wake me up and my mom asks me how my arm got wet and I told her, "I only wanted to pet the fish good night."

Fast forward to last night.

I had gone into my brother's room to turn off the lights on his fish tanks. He has two - one's freshwater and it has an African Cichlid and an algae eater (and maybe a miniture catfish). The other one's a saltwater tank. It's got some sort of prickley sea urchin, about 3 small but brightly colored fish, and a spiny puffer fish* - that's quite friendly. So, when I came in last night, it came up to the surface of the water (I think it's intelligent enough to know that I feed them most mornings and some nights.) So, I thought, I wonder what it feels like. (Yes, I was a target child for the "Please Touch" exhibits.) I stroked it a few times and it felt like I thought. Next thing I know, the frickin' thing turns on me and takes a chunk out of the side of my finger tip. It drew blood! They don't tell you those things also have teeth.


* The spines on my brother's are longer.

But I know my brother also feeds that thing shrimp, so I guess I can't fault it completely.
