Today was a good day. I took off yesterday and today and did sod all and it was really nice.

I finished watching the second season of "Eureka" between yesterday and today.

I went to the mall today and bought myself a new winter coat - which floored my dad, because I don't usually buy clothes. (Sometimes I think he's the girl and I'm the guy when it comes to clothes shopping.)

For my birthday, I got a copy of Secretary from [livejournal.com profile] nakedwesley, money from my grandparents, Fandango money from my brother (movies, here I come) with a cute note (Happy Birthday A, I decided that I would try to get high-tech and send your birthday present via e-mail this year. Isn't technology amazing..... (its amazing as long as this actually works and makes it to you).) and about four separate pieces of papter taped around the house with "Happy birthday, A. Love, Chase", and a new set of tires from my dad (which is also doubling as part of my Christmas gift). (And can I say how...interesting it was to have my dad tell me, as part of his normal "safe driving" lecture before the Creation Con, what to do in the event of a tire blowing out?)

Now I just need to get my dad to fix my door. The inside handle doesn't open the door so, in order to open it, I have to roll down my window (yes, *roll down my window*), and open it from the outside. It's been this way for over a year. When I asked my dad to fix it months ago, he said he would, but then didn't. And when I brought up to him a couple weeks ago about it, he said he would and I said, "good, because you know, I really do think it's a safety hazard." (This is a new card I haven't used before.) And my dad laughed and was like, "A safety hazard?" and I was like, "Yeah, what if I need to get out quickly and my only options are either rolling down the window or climbing across the bench seat to the passenger side door?" and my dad's still chuckling and is like, "It's not a safety hazard." Thankfully, Cheryl was there and she agreed with me. I'm surprised my dad, who is Mr. Safety most of the time, didn't agree.

And now, back to work tomorrow. On the upside, it's only a three day week.
