(no subject)

1. I had dinner with my dad and Cheryl last night. It was fun. She's a really nice lady.

2. Went out to dinner tonight with my dad, grandparents, and our neighbors (who are practically family). Somehow my grandmother let slip that she's waiting for great-grandkids.

3. I'm going to the doctor's on Friday. My left ear's been clogged up for the past week (since about last Tuesday) and while things are doing better (no more pain and it's mostly unclogged), it's still clogging up while I sleep and unclogging on its own hours later. And I'm of the mind that even if it completely clears up between now and the appointment, I still want to go and make sure things are cleared up.

3a. This has happened to me before - but it was about two years ago, and I know that this sort of things happens to my grandfather. (Not really sure if there's a point to this part....)

3b. The last time this happened, I couldn't help but think of the "Sentinel" episode "Hear No Evil", where Jim had to have it done. Which then makes me giggle. And I'm sure the last time I had it done, the doctor probably wondered what I was giggling at. (Ah, here's the point.)

4. "Queer Eye" tip - "Smart is sexy." Yes. Yes, it is.

5. I wasn't planning on doing NaNoWriMo this year, but as I was looking over some partially done fics. And most of them are still stalled. But one's like, "Finish me! Finish me!" So, yeah. I'm doing NanNo again. Whether or not I hit 50,000 words is another story, but I just want it done.

6. I thought I had more things to post, but I guess not.

I'm with you on the "go to the doctor anyway" idea. It can't hurt to have it checked out. I used to get horrific ear infections and the scar tissue has left me slightly hearing impaired. It's the pits. See the doc. *grin*

Yay for the NaNoWriMo! I have several friends who do that every year. I'm in awe, honestly!

Yeah, part of me going is because I'm one of those "I don't need to go to the doctor" types, but I figure that if the pain was bad enough last week that I took painkillers a couple times, I'm going. (Okay, so I took one tablet dosages and only took maybe two dosages a day for three, maybe four, of the days, but if it's bad enough that I'm even *considering* it....) And aside from the clog being a hassle (me having people repeat themselves, me wondering if I'm speaking too loudly/softly), hearing's the one sense that I'm 99.9% sure I would go insane if I'd lost it. I *need* to hear music, if nothing else.

I've enjoyed doing it, even if it is frustrating and crazy and I haven't "won" yet. I've always found writing to be very theraputic (right up there with music *g*), so anything that encourages me to write is a very. good. thing. :-D
