sam_gamgeeI'm still going back and forth on "Life". There are moments that I love and then there are moments when I'm bored to death. I think I'm going to give it another couple episodes and see.
"Viva Laughlin" lost me after 15 minutes. I admit, part of the initial attraction was Hugh Jackman (even if only for a few eps), and the other part was that there was going to be *singing*. The show wasn't going to be a true musical, but that there were going to be songs during key moments (like, for the introduction of Jackman's character - who is the "villian" of the show - the song was "Sympathy for the Devil"). Well, the producers, or whoever, chickened out and had the cast (since the lead had the song "Viva Las Vegas" at the beginning of the episode) sing along with the song, while the song was being played and mostly drowning them out. Now, I can't speak for the lead of the show, but Hugh Jackman's got the chops that he can own his song, but they didn't let him. Grr. That pisses me off.
Otherwise, things are going good. Yesterday was my brother's birthday - he turned 24. (I can't believe my baby brother's 24.)
Tonight I went out with my mom and John for dinner and then went back to their place and watched the season four premiere of "House" and she seemed to really enjoy it. (And, God, I love Wilson playing an evil mastermind.)
