Oct. 8th, 2007 12:05 amToday was another good day. Though, the weather's weirding me out. As much as I like being able to wear shorts, sandals, and a tshirt, it's *really* *really* odd to be doing it on October 7th. Though, thankfully, the nights are finally starting to get cool.
Went to church and Sunday School this morning. In Sunday School, our first "unit" is on the history of Christianity. It's a lot of fun and I like the teacher.
Afterwards, did my normal Panera brunch and read some fic and worked on a fic.
Following that, I went grocery shopping. Stocked up on stuff for lunches this week and got a coupon towards getting a free turkey (which is weird thinking about with the weather so warm). Not sure if we'll need it, but you never know (and finding someone who'll take it shouldn't be hard). And it's sad that when I went through the line about 2:30 that the cashier remarked that I was the first nice customer she'd had.
Well, an upside to the warm weather is that I finally got a chance to wash my comforter this afternoon and instead of trying to fit it in the dryer, I hung it outside on the clothes line.
Finished the first season finale of "Eureka" while eating dinner. After "Purple Haze" and "H.O.U.S.E. Rules", "Once in a Lifetime" was a bit of a downer, but I did like it. My brain's still trying to wrap around a couple things - like, wouldn't sending 2010!Jack back create a paradox in 2006 (as in there being two of them)? Can't wait to see season 2.
Watched Victor Victoria tonight and fell in love with it. Julie Andrews is freakin' amazing. And the movie itself definitely brings up a bunch of interesting questions. So, lots of fun there.
I'm really sleepy and I don't know why. Must be everything catching up to me. I wish we had three day weekends.

Date: 2007-10-08 04:28 am (UTC)Heh. We see that here until the first big snowfall. And afterward if it thaws for a while. Which is a bizarre contrast to when I grew up, down South, and the minute it went below 60 degrees, people brought out the big winter coats that they really *never* needed.
(Though I agree, 80 degree weather in October is *weird* and *wrong*.)

Date: 2007-10-09 02:44 am (UTC)I remember a few years back, I was on spring break visiting my grandparents in Florida and they were wearing jackets and I was going around in just a tshirt and they were like, "Aren't you cold?" and I was like, "No, this is warm!" (It was about 65.)
