Sep. 29th, 2007 12:24 amThings have been fairly 'meh' lately. A good 'meh', but still 'meh'. (AKA, things have been quiet this week.)
Getting back on track with WW has been going okay. I've been doing good during the day (for the most part), but later at night, I get a case of the munchies, so I need to work on that. Actually, what I need to work on is getting to bed earlier. I know that would help all around. So that will be one of my goals this week. (But obviously not tonight.)
Last weekend I had to go shopping for pants for work. While at J.C. Penny's, I ended up getting a skirt as well. It's mid-calf length and it's black with purple and lavender vines and leaves trailing all over it and the bottom is slightly flounced. It's quite cute and it looks really nice on me. Now I just have to find a top to go with it. (I didn't really like the one they had paired with it.)
I also ended up going to Teavana and buying 2oz of their Snow Geisha tea. It's a cherry flavored, loose leaf, white tea which is *amazing*. The downside is that those 2oz cost $15. So, while I can resteep the leaves a few times, I don't think I'll be getting that on a regular basis. The herbal teas do basically the same thing as the whites (act as an antidoxidant) and they're about 1/3 the price.

Date: 2007-09-29 05:15 am (UTC)I know they talk about how you shouldn't eat before bed, and give you strategies to control the munchies, but you may also want to consider accepting it as part of your lifestyle (or at least consider accepting it as something that will happen if you stay up late enough), and either finding low-or-no-point late-night snacks, or adjusting your during-the-day eating to account for it. The program really does work best if you tailor it to your personal needs, instead of following the party line to the letter.
As for the tea...I don't even wanna think about how much I spend on my favorite teas. Between the white tea at Teavana, and the bottled green jasmine iced tea from Teas' Tea, I spend almost as much keeping myself in tea as I do on actual food! *g*

Date: 2007-09-30 02:58 am (UTC)Yeah, I don't want to think about it either. And the fact that this tea is *so* good, makes me almost want to reconsider. I got the Snow Geisha white tea. I guess my thing is that it's like, "I just paid $15 for some thing that I could technically grow in my backyard?"
