HOT. DAMN.
Mar. 13th, 2003 12:35 amWesley is - I don't have words to describe Wesley. Just - HOT. DAMN. He is probably on the most incredible and interesting journey on either show. And this is from a character who was supposed to die after two or three episodes.

i) Spike is, imo, on the classic redemption journey. While I thoroughly enjoy redemptive journeys - especially with someone like Spike, and done by all the people involved, it's still something we've seen so many times before. And since we all know and love Spike, we *want* him to be on that redemptive journey. We want him to be saved and to be happy and all - even if he is "still evil".
ii) Wes - well, I'm not sure exactly where Wes' journey is going to take him, or even what kind of journey he's on. And I think that because of that, it makes him so much more interesting. Who would've thought prior to "Sleep Tight" that Wes would be where he is now? How about even when he was in the relationship with Lilah? I don't think very many people saw what he did last night and went "Nope, I totally expected him to do that". It's been a while, if ever, that we've seen a character that's been so totally taken apart and put back together. He's definitely not the Watcher we met in Sunnydale and yet, he's still Wesley..

I just find Spike a more interesting character.
And, as we all know, I must be right! Right I say! No matter the facts, I must be right!
*grin*
Seriously, you do make good points.
