Trying to catch up
Jul. 15th, 2011 11:43 pm12 – Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
I've never tried an actual adaptation fic, though I've done - or at least thought about doing - crossovers. Just because it would be neat to see how things would react if Character X would react to in a different universe. Though, one of the fics I've been thinking about doing is similar to this - but using a slightly AU universe that someone wrote for one of my fandoms.
13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
I prefer canon, though I'm not against using fanon bits. I don't think writing fanfic has changed anything. Maybe reading fanfic has changed somethings - or at least given me a different perspective, even if I didn't ultimately agree with it.
