Forgot to mention that Loretta also gave me a copy of the Kane music she has on her computer.

Most of it's stuff I've heard before - songs from the first Kane cd and the Live in London cd from the con that Christian and Steve did, and "House Rules". And it has a studio version of "Mary Can You Come Outside" (the London cd has a live version). There's also two new songs on there - "All I Did Was Love Her" and "Something's Gotta Give".

And there's also a couple covers - one was "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray and the other was Jordan Knight's "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man". Which that just - it both amuses me to no end and makes my brain melt a little because it's so random.

14. How do you map out locations, if needed? Do you have any to show us?

I don't usually map out locations. That's one nice thing about fanfic - people already know the space I'm using. But there have been times I've looked up apartment layouts and street maps so I have an idea of how characters would move. But I don't tend to keep them.

I do have some original stories I'm working out where I probably will need to map things out, but I haven't gotten there yet.

15. Midway question! Tell us about a writer you admire, whether professional or not!

Hmm. There's a lot (especially in the "not" section), so I'll just pick two for each.

Professional:
Terry Goodkind - I really enjoy his world-building and the characters he creates. (I came very close to throwing the book across the room when he killed off a secondary character.)

Drew Goddard - I just think he's awesome. He's a very good character writer.

Not professional:
[livejournal.com profile] xanthelj - I love her world-building in the "General & Dr Sheppard" universe. And her shorter stuff's been really good too.

[livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock - She's just awesome. Plus, "Bell Curve" is a huge reason why I got into SGA (along with you lot telling me I needed to do so).

Somewhere in the middle:
[livejournal.com profile] wesleysgirl and [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt - Have I used the word awesome too much in this post yet? Because it applies to these two wonderful ladies too.
