Today was a weird mix of both good and bad.

Bad because I'm still a bit stressed about some stuff with my dad from yesterday. Plus, it's starting to sink in that I'm making headway on moving out and that's scaring me more than it probably should.

Good because I'm making headway on moving. And I made an appointment for Tuesday to start counselling. (Though, I'm a bit amused about that because friend J gave me the name and number of a counsellor friend of hers that she thought would be a good match for me. Well, she doesn't take my insurance, but someone else in her office does. The funny bit is that this person A) is a guy and B) has the same first name as my dad.)

I saw Avatar today and, overall, I liked it. The visuals were, obviously, amazing. And I do like the "going native" type of story a lot. There were a few little things that niggled me, but they're things that I doubt are ever going to change any time soon. (Like having the outsider have to learn the language without someone who knows English and having a completely unsympathetic military aspect aside from the hero (who almost always is a warrior).) And I wish that Jake had given the speech at the end to the Na'vi in their language instead of having it translated because by that point he knew the language and they were going to listen to him. (I could understand having Tsu'tey giving it to the other clans because of his status and everything, but still....)

Went to friend J's tonight. We had dinner and I took over my SG-1 season 10 dvds so she could borrow them. I made her watch the 200th episode because I knew we both needed a laugh. And she showed me an episode of "Glee" - which was cute.
