Note to self: If it doesn't kill you, it'll only make you stronger.

I hope this is true. Because today was just one of those days. I don't feel like I was fully able to separate myself enough from yesterday, so it feels like it was one freakin' long day. And the fact that somehow a bunch of notes about levels got changed on the designer's sheets that didn't get changed on mine between when we were doing them yesterday and today and I have no idea how that happened since we were doing them together. And can I say how stressful it is when you have the stage manager calling a cue and the designer's still fiddling with the one that just played? I am *so* glad I have off tomorrow - even if I'm going in to play with the board a bit and get some transitions down. I need to get out of that building for as much as I can to hold onto the thread of sanity that I have left. Not to mention laundry and grocery shopping.

Okay, time for some pimpage:

First, Repossession by Lazuli, because it's awesome. It's one of the few S/X that I'll read - and that's saying a lot. I don't know if I can pimp this story enough.

And here's a new one that I came across today - "String Theory" by Prufrock. It's Clex (Clark/Lex for those of you not into "Smallville"), but it's really good. It's set about 5 years in the future, while Clark et al are at college. And while I don't follow "Smallville" anymore, I don't think that that'll be a hinderance to anyone else who doesn't follow it either. Well, as long as you know the characters in the story, it shouldn't be a problem - and you can find that out from practically any "Smallville" episode guide. Anyway, the parts are as follows: 1-15, Interlude, Part 16, Part 17, Part 18, Part 19. I've only gotten up to the end of part 16, but I've been told that she's not going to post any huge parts anymore until the story is finished, but she is going to be posting smaller parts in her lj rather regularly.

you're ducking and covering, you might as well
just kiss your ass goodbye.
