Things are going good.
Not last weekend, but the weekend before, I went to see Pathfinder - which I really liked.
I went for my blood test last Tuesday and it took two technicians and about five minutes to find a vein. This is normal.
Friday morning, I went to the dentist for a combination of getting some work done and getting my cleaning in. The work went much better this time than the previous two. I think it was because I reminded them of what happened last time (me getting hit with enough local anestetic in my lower left jaw to stun a horse - aka the limit - and still not being completely numb). My dentist was really cool about it and this time gave me the stronger stuff and and hit all the nerves in that area. And it worked. I asked the hygenist who was helping him how long it would take for the anestetic to wear off (last time it took about 7 hours or so and then my jaw was still a bit sore) and she said about an hour and a half. Well...it finished wearing off four hours later. But there wasn't any pain. (Wooo!) And after he finished, the dentist kept asking me to bite down and make sure that everything felt fine and even and such and I told him, "I guess everything's fine, but I can't give you an honest answer, since the left half of my mouth's numb" and he laughed. And, apparently I'm weird and I bite with my back teeth. As he was cleaning up, my dentist said "You must hate me for what I did to you last time - giving you all those shots." This time was the first time I got a good look at him (he's pretty new to the office, and the first time I met him was when he did the work on me) and he looks like he could be Ryan Stiles' son.
On Friday afternoon, I had a massage. And my masseuse - whom I've had before - is *amazing*. She's amazing.
I'm really liking "Drive". This probably shouldn't be a surprise from someone who loves The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast, 2 Furious. I think my OTP right now is Tully/Challenger. I absolutely love that car, like whoa.
I can't wait for this weekend.
tribalforces! It's going to be so much fun.

Date: 2007-04-25 08:10 pm (UTC)On the other hand, we do also have "Drive" in common. I think it's a lot of nice, twisted fun. (And, y'know, it has Nathan Fillion which is just never a bad thing!)

Date: 2007-04-26 03:17 am (UTC)It's $71 for a 60 minute Swedish massage, but if you get Stacy, it's *so
* worth it.

Date: 2007-04-26 01:48 am (UTC)I had a great dentist back in Wisconsin but have never found one here. I know I need some work done but I wouldn't know where to begin to find a dentist I can trust. Y'know what I mean? Guess I need someone in the area to rec me one. (or get my dental work done in Delaware. *g*)
'Drive' really isn't my kind of show, sadly. Although, I have caught bits and pieces of it. I wish Tim and Co. lots of luck with it.

Date: 2007-04-26 03:20 am (UTC)And, yes, I know what you mean. If I have to leave where I am now, I don't know what I'd do.
I'm having a lot of fun with "Drive". Not seeing a whole lot of pairing potential, but that's okay because right now it's all about the cars for me. :-P
