* Okay, so I don't agree with all of the explanation of it, but it's pretty darn close.

well, apparently i match with unitarian universalism 100%. of course there's really no set belief system there. everything ranging from atheist to liberal christian is in this category. my four choices after that were:
1. theravada buddhism-wherein there is no true diety. buddha is only a spiritual model for reaching enlightenment and nirvana. reincarnation happens. as does karma depending on one's relations with the rest of the world. there are some things here i don't like, i.e. abortion as murder, set gender roles, and some intolerence towards homosexuality, although that largely depends on the culture of the people involved.
2. secular humanism-basically atheists, all things...supernatural are caused by natural phenomena. there is an explaination for everything. (no there isn't. or there is no way for us to concieve of that explaination.) they're pro-choice and gay rights activists, though :)
3. liberal quaker. HA! brainwashed! i think my parent's Meeting was pretty damn liberal. they advocated tolerance and acceptance of other's beliefs (ironic that i was forced to attend until i was a teenager when i kept telling my parents that i didn't agree with what was being taught.) and we spent most of the time learning about *other* religions in First Day School rather than about Quakerism specifically. this is a religion that if i have children i would want them to get started on.
4. neo-pagan. covers several religions, ranging from monotheistic to polytheistic. general empathsis on balance and connection with nature. beliefs out the wazoo. i think this is a maria-influenced choice.

wow. that was neat. i haven't taken this quiz in a long while and it was fun to do it again.
