Jun. 25th, 2006 10:51 pmSince we had a "rather" rainy weekend, (sunshine - what's that?), I raided Blockbuster and used up some coupons. I definitely recommend The Transporter, The Transporter 2, and Noel. (Yes, I realize the last one is a Christmas-themed movie, but it's got a *great* cast and it's kinda like It's a Wonderful Life.) I'll even go out on a limb and vouch for Cutting Edge 2. (Yes, dear Lord, they made a sequel and it's not completely hideous and horrible.)
And, I'll admit that I enjoy reading the "letters to the editor" page in our newspaper. Some people do have good things to add to one topic or another, but some people...... Let's just say stupidity is alive and well. (Like the person who got *really* upset at a "Boondocks" comic strip this past winter, even if the strip was of the "it's funny because it's true" variety.)
But I felt like I had to share this letter because I feel that *somehow* it's kinda tetering on the line in between the two categories I mentioned above. Plus, I'm highly amused by it. (And I doubt I have to explain the whole immigration thing, right?)

I see the Hollywood lefties are expecting us to shell out our hard-earned cash to go to a movie honoring an illegal immigrant. Instead of being lauded, this Superman should be arrested and deported back to wherever he came from immediately.
Not only is he scoffing at our laws, he is doing work that Spiderman, Batman, or some other red-blooded American superhero could be doing.
