I'm getting sucked into SG-1 and SGA. I'm in the middle of season 2 of SG-1 now and will hopefully be getting the first season of SGA from [livejournal.com profile] wesleysgirl soon. Does anyone know if Sci-Fi will be rerunning seasons 2 and 9? Or even where I can download them?

I've also been reading a lot of SGA fanfic. Good SGA fanfic. Like [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock's Bell Curve.

And if you're a) an SGA fan, b) a knitter, or c) a knitter and an SGA fan, you should all read her fic #435, The Atlantis Local Stitch'n'Bitch Chapter. It's hilarious.

You know you're an SGA fan when...
...even though you've never seen the show, and only know bits and pieces about it, when you read "Head straight for the refreshments and grab as much as possible of everything. You're just worried it'll run out." in a completely unrelated quiz, you immediately think of Rodney.

This is for all of you Supernatural fans out there: Jensen Ackles - "I'm a mad Gummi fan. I always have Gummis in my trailer. But you can't eat too many because then you get Gummi tummy, and that's no good. I can't believe I'm saying this."

I'm hosting a Partylite party for [livejournal.com profile] anaidiana on Saturday. I think it'll be a lot of fun. Plus! Candles! *giggles insanely*. I'll admit - I'm something of a candle whore. I just bought, like, 2 and a half dozen votives from Yankee Candle because they were having a sale and they were each $1. And if Saturday turns out to be a good show, I'll be getting 78 votives for $5. (Yes, you heard right.)

And if anyone was wondering why I asked if anyone knew anything about booting my brother into another time space, here's a good example. Just before Christmas, he comes in and goes, "You need to move your truck." And I replied, "Why?" His response - "Because your truck's been in the driveway for the past two years and now it's my turn." No asking nicely or anything. Oh, and he decided to bring it up at 11:30 PM.

Oooh! I found a Nathan Fillion quote I've been looking for. This is from the last issue in September of "Entertainment Weekly". Even when ruminating on something remotely edgy — like how much he enjoyed the fight scenes during his name-making stint on the defunct Fox sci-fi/Western Firefly — his softer side can't help but assert itself. "To fight dirty, even bite people, was...I just saw a huge hummingbird!" He watches it buzz into the sky. "Wow."

And I *think* that's it for what I wanted to post about.

Unfortunately, Sci-fi just marathoned all of the current seasons over New year's week, so I suspect it won't be happening again soon :(

Damn.

Though, with the rate I'm going, they'll probably be out on dvd by the time I'm ready for them. :-P
