Jan. 4th, 2006 12:12 amFirst off - many thanks to
lunanne for my Christmas package. You are going to get a response very soon, dear.
So,
libralyte was kidnapped yesterday, but I was able to rescue her and, after we had a yummy meal at Iron Hill Brewery with her kidnapper, the whole misunderstanding was put behind us. :-P
Bride & Prejudice was definitely a good movie and I highly recommend it. It's the closest I've seen to a faithful adaption of Pride & Prejudice, even if it operates on the premise of either "Pride & Prejudice in modern-day India" or "Pride & Prejudice, Bollywood-style" (take your pick). (And, no, I haven't seen the new Pride & Prejudice yet.) And while this may not seem like it would work, it does quite well. Mark Henderson was a very good Darcy.
We saw The Producers tonight - which I had wanted to see at some point, but wasn't overly enthused about. I'm really glad we went. It was hilarious (and I kind of wonder what the other half dozen people in the theatre thought of us). Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are definitely a very good pair.
Then we came back and watched the *shh*bootleg*shh* of Spamalot so she could see it. I liked Hank Azaria as Lancelot, but I loved Alan so much more.
In other news, does anyone know a good way to drop kick my brother into next week? Though either next month, next quarter, or next year would be more preferable.

Date: 2006-01-07 05:42 am (UTC)I did get the e-card, thank you very much! Now I just have to figure out what to use it on. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
Have you gotten a little package from me yet?

Date: 2006-01-07 06:49 am (UTC)I was going to send you an email to thank you and then decided something this astonishing (!!!!!!) required an actual pen and paper (okay, notecard, if you want to be technical) and stamp and everything. So you should be getting a thank you in the mail from me in a few days. Adrian, that was just the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me. . . okay, except last year when Jeremy and Dan re-did my Redskins helmet lamp and made it all nice -- but one of them is related to me by blood and I take care of both of them daily.
((more hugs than the human body can stand))
