Can I do today over?

Thursday - Had a lot of fun seeing White Christmas on a big screen. And I know my dad and grandparents had a really good time too. It was just so much fun seeing it with an audience and hearing people clap after the big dance numbers and stuff.

Friday - Was very glad that Buy Back week was over. So now most, if not all, of the students are now home and the customers that we do have between now and Christmas may actually be in a more managable number. It was also fun hearing Chris, our assistant store manager, sing the closing announcement to the tune of "Jingle Bells" - which actually wasn't that bad. (Can you tell it's been a long week for all of us?)

Yesterday - Braved the post office, which actually wasn't as scary as I had imagined it to be and I was in and out in under an hour. (Most of the time was spent figuring out the correct sizes for all the stuff I was sending.) Though, I was surprised to find that a) I had to fill out a customs form for a box going to Canada, but not for a large envelope and b) that air mail would take a week to get there and ground 4-6 weeks for what is essentially an 8 hour drive. Go figure. (And now that I've found out it's an 8 hour drive, *rubs hands together in an evil plotting sort of way*.)

Dear Newark's Main Post Office,

The box and its contents are safe. I swear!

confused love,
Adrian

Today - Started off great, aside from waking up almost late for church. After I was done there, I headed over to my mom's house so we could go out and finish our Christmas shopping. On the way over, I took the route through a neighborhood, which has a number of speed bumps. After the last one, I happened to look out my passenger side window and turned back just soon enough to slam on the brakes before rear-ending the girl in front of me, who had stopped to turn into the local dinner theatre. Thankfully, neither of us were hurt. Her car's only a bit scuffed up, maybe a dent or two, and a broken tail light. The front of my truck on the other hand.... My dad had to straighten out the front bumper a bit so we could drive it home. Luckily, I was only going about 20 mph. I'd hate to see what would've happened if I'd been going any faster. Hopefully, it'll be easily fixed. Am now waiting for a *talk* with my dad, since it didn't happen at the scene, and it didn't happen tonight. We'll see, I guess.

So my brother drove my truck home and my mom and I went out shopping and it was a lot of fun. Aside from the fact that I'm scared to see what my credit card bill's gonna look like, I love buying stuff for other people. (As I'm sure most of my friends either have, or will, find out.)
